Pinpoint Test H - Trunk Does Not Unlock
- Turn ignition on. Press trunk release switch in glove box. If trunk unlocks, go to next step. If trunk does not unlock, go to step 3).
- Unplug Remote Keyless Entry Module (RKEM) connector C1. Test for continuity between connector C1 pins No. 9 and 22 (both Purple/Yellow wires) and trunk release solenoid. If continuity exists, temporarily substitute known good RKEM, then retest system. If continuity does not exist, repair Purple/Yellow wire.
- Test trunk release solenoid. If solenoid is okay, go to next step. If solenoid is defective, replace solenoid.
- Inspect fuse No. 6. Replace fuse if necessary. If fuse is okay, repair open or short in Purple/Yellow wire.
- If trunk locks, temporarily substitute known good RKEM, then retest system. If trunk does not lock, go to next step.
- Unplug trunk release switch in glove box. Unplug RKEM connector. If trunk locks, replace trunk release switch. If trunk does not lock, repair short to voltage on Purple/Yellow wire.
