Cruise Control Systems: Testing: Notes

NOTE: Test vehicles with computerized engine controls for stored computer codes. Repair codes and related problems prior to cruise control diagnosis. For additional information, see appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.

NOTE: Before trouble shooting system, perform complete visual inspection of system. Repair as necessary. If all connections and components appear to be okay, go to test procedure for appropriate symptom.

NOTE: On diesel Van, all speed control functions are controlled by the PCM. See appropriate ENGINE PERFORMANCE article for trouble shooting procedures.
