Power Seat Inoperative

  1. Check POWER SEAT fuse (30-amp) in fuse panel. If fuse is okay, go to step 3). If fuse is blown, replace fuse. If fuse blows again, go to next step. If fuse does not blow, go to step 3).
  2. With ignition off, disconnect power seat switch connector and lumbar/bolster switch connector. Remove POWER SEAT fuse from fuse panel. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance of White/Black wire between power seat switch connector and ground. If resistance is more than 10,000 ohms, replace fuse and go to next step. If resistance is less than 10,000 ohms, repair White/Black wire.
  3. Test power seat switch. See SWITCH TEST  under TESTING. If switch tests okay, go to next step. If switch faulty, replace seat control switch and housing.
  4. Turn ignition off. Disconnect power seat switch connector. Measure voltage at White/Black wire terminal of connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair Black wire between connector and ground. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair White/Black wire.
