Pinpoint Test B - Alarm Will Not Disarm
NOTE:
In the following tests, ignition key should always be in OFF position unless otherwise specified in a specific test.
- Unplug suspect door lock cylinder switch. Measure resistance between lock cylinder switch terminals while turning key in lock. If resistance is less than 5 ohms with key in unlock position, and greater than 10,000 ohms with key in neutral position, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace lock cylinder switch in question.
- Remove 15-amp ROOM fuse. Unplug suspect door lock cylinder switch. Measure resistance between Black wire at lock cylinder switch connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Black wire between lock switch and ground.
- Disconnect CPU connector. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. Measure resistance of Yellow/Red wire between door lock cylinder switch and CPU connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace CPU. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair Yellow/Red wire between lock cylinder switch and CPU.
