Switch Test

  1. Make all measurements at switch connector. With switch in neutral position, continuity should exist between Black and Yellow/Red wires, and between Black and Yellow/Blue wires. Continuity should not exist between Green/Orange and Yellow/Red wires, and between Green/Orange and Yellow/Blue wires.
  2. With switch in close position, continuity should exist between Green/Orange and Yellow/Blue wires, and between Black and Yellow/Red wires. Continuity should not exist between Green/Orange and Yellow/Red wires, and between Black and Yellow/Blue wires.
  3. With switch in open position, continuity should exist between Green/Orange and Yellow/Red wires, and between Black and Yellow/Blue wires. Continuity should not exist between Green/Orange and Yellow/Blue wires, and between Black and Yellow/Red wires. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.
