Pinpoint Test B - Display Scrambled, Segments Half

LIT, SEGMENTS BLINKING OR MISSING, DISPLAY INCORRECT, DISPLAY

STUCK WITH ALL SEGMENTS ON

  1. Turn ignition off. Simultaneously press and hold E/M and SELECT control buttons. While pressing buttons, turn ignition on. Release buttons when instrument cluster lights up. If odometer does not flash, go to next step. If odometer flashes, temporarily substitute known good EIC, then retest system.
  2. Press SELECT button once to enter display test. Continue to press and release E/M button to cycle through steps of display test. Each segment and indicator should light once until all segments are on.
  3. If instrument cluster display is okay, see PINPOINT TEST INDEX table. If instrument cluster display is not okay, temporarily substitute known good EIC, then retest system.
