Code 23 - SAFING Sensor Input Circuit Open: Description

Battery voltage is applied to terminal No. 15 of diagnostic monitor at all times. Voltage at terminal No. 15 can be as high as 25 volts when ignition is on and backup power supply in diagnostic monitor is charged up. Orange wire is connected to Yellow/Black wire inside of safing sensor. Voltage at terminal No. 23 should be same as voltage at terminal No. 15 at all times. Diagnostic monitor compares voltage available at terminal No.s No. 15 and 23. If voltage at terminal No. 23 is low, Code 23 will set.
