CAUTION:
Aspire is equipped with Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). Observe safety precautions. The air bag system is powered directly from the battery and back-up power supply. Before any repairs are performed, disconnect and shield battery ground cable. Wait at least one minute before servicing any air bag component. Use caution when working near steering column. Air bag could accidently deploy at any time.
The steering gear is of conventional rack and pinion design, sealed against entry of foreign material. If lubrication is necessary, the steering gear must be removed and disassembled. See Fig 1 .
