Oil Pressure Gauge Test

  1. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using fused jumper wire, apply battery voltage to "+" terminal on oil pressure gauge. Connect gauge "-" terminal to ground.
  2. Connect one lead of Gauge System Tester (021-00055) to OP terminal on gauge. Connect other tester lead to "-" terminal on gauge.
  3. Set tester to resistance specified in illustration. See Fig 1 . If oil pressure gauge indicates as specified, return to appropriate PINPOINT TEST. Replace temperature gauge if it does not indicate as specified.
