Circuit Breaker
NOTE:
To check for correct circuit breaker operation, perform both of the following tests.
- Before connecting circuit breaker to tester, short tester leads together, and adjust current until it equals circuit breaker rating. Connect breaker to tester. Leave breaker connected to tester for 10 minutes while maintaining rated current. If circuit breaker opens within 10 minutes, replace circuit breaker.
- Again short tester leads together. Adjust draw until it is twice rated current. Connect breaker. Maintain twice rated current. Circuit breaker should open within 30 seconds. If not, replace circuit breaker.
