Power Seat Switch Test

Using a volt-ohmmeter, check for voltage continuity between indicated switch connector terminals when switch is activated as specified. See POWER SEAT SWITCH CONTINUITY table. See Fig 1 . Replace switch if it does not test as specified.

POWER SEAT SWITCH CONTINUITY

Switch Position Continuity
NEUTRAL (1) 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8
"A" 2 & 7; 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 8
"B" 2 & 5; 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 & 8
"C" (Up) 1, 2 & 7; 3, 4, 5, 6 & 8
"C" (Down) 2, 5 & 6; 1, 3, 4, 7 & 8
"C" (Right) 2 & 3; 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8
"C" (Left) 2 & 8; 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7
"D" 1 & 2; 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8
"E" 2 & 6; 1, 3, 4, 5, 7 & 8
(1) In NEUTRAL position, terminal No. 2 is disconnected.
