Symptom Checks

Perform the following:

• Check starter relay.
• Check starting system.
• Check charging system.
• Check for seized/hydro-static locked engine (leaking injectors).
• Check for defective flywheel or seized engine components.
• Check ignition circuit. In particular, check for ignition starter wire shorting to ground (distributor-equipped vehicles only).
• Check brake interlock switch (if equipped).
• Check transmission linkage adjustment.
