Horn Relay

  1. If horn works properly, horn relay is okay. If horn is inoperative, locate horn relay, near fuse panel. Check for battery voltage between Dark Green/Orange wire of horn relay connector and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, press horn button. If voltage drops to zero volts temporarily substitute known good amplifier and retest system.
  2. Check for battery voltage on Dark Green wire (1.8L) or Dark Green/White wire (1.9L). If battery voltage exists, replace horn relay. If battery voltage does not exist, check fuse and wiring.
