Code 1145
- Clear all codes. Drive vehicle at speed of at least 10 MPH. Retrieve codes. If Code 1145 is set, right front speed sensor has open circuit. Go to next step. If SYSTEM PASS is set, malfunction is intermittent. Go to step 4).
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECU 40-pin connector. Install Breakout Box and adapter. Measure resistance between breakout box pins No. 8 and 34. If resistance is more than 3000 ohms, high resistance exists. Go to next step. If resistance is less than 3000 ohms, replace ECU and go to step 8).
- Disconnect right front sensor connector. Measure resistance between sensor connector terminals. If resistance is more than 3000 ohms, replace sensor and go to step 8). If resistance is less than 3000 ohms, sensor is okay. Repair source of high resistance in wiring between sensor and ECU.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECU 40-pin connector. Install Breakout Box and adapter. Measure resistance between breakout box pins No. 8 and 34. If resistance is more than 3000 ohms, repeat previous step to determine fault. If resistance is less than 3000 ohms, go to next step.
- Measure resistance between sensor terminals. If first measurement is 2500-3000 ohms, drive vehicle over rough road while monitoring resistance. Driving vehicle will help detect intermittent condition. Intermittent sensor malfunction may be due to poor solder joints or wire connection. If resistance is 2500-3000 ohms, sensor is okay. Go to next step. If resistance is more than 3000 ohms, replace sensor. Connect sensor connector and go to next step.
- Jumper 2 circuits on harness side of right front sensor connector. Check continuity between breakout box pins No. 8 and 34. If continuity is indicated, drive vehicle over rough road while monitoring resistance. If resistance is more than 3000 ohms and intermittent, repair source of high resistance between ECU and sensor. If resistance is less than 3000 ohms and intermittent, go to next step.
- If intermittent condition still exists, and all previous steps have been performed, replace sensor. Perform step 8) to verify replacing sensor repaired malfunction. Check for ABS warning light. If ABS warning light 666comes on, cause of condition may be wiring related. See INTERMITTENT DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE . If ABS warning light does not come on, condition has been repaired and test is complete.
- Reconnect and reassemble all components. Clear all codes. Drive vehicle over rough road if condition is intermittent. Retrieve codes. If SYSTEM PASS is set, condition has been repaired and test is complete. If 666original code is set, repeat step 1). If a different code is set, go to appropriate PINPOINT TEST under PINPOINT TESTS .
