Fuel Pump Relay

This relay prevents fuel pump operation unless the engine is cranking, or when a signal from the Vane Airflow (VAF) Meter confirms the engine is running. See Fig 1. Internal circuitry holds the relay contacts closed during momentary loss of the VAF meter signal during rapid deceleration. On Aspire, the fuel pump relay is located under the left side of the instrument panel.
