Brake Pedal Height: Probe

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1994 Mercury Tracer, 1994 Ford Probe, and 1994 Ford Escort. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Measure height of brake pedal between center of brake pedal pad and floor. Measurement should be 7.54-7.74" (191.5-196.6 mm). To adjust pedal height, loosen pedal stopper lock nut and turn stopper bolt until it does not contact brake pedal. Loosen brake pedal push rod lock nut. Turn push rod until proper pedal height is achieved. Tighten lock nut. Rotate stopper bolt until it just contacts brake pedal. Tighten stopper bolt an additional 1/2 turn. Tighten stopper lock nut.
