EGR Modulator (EGRM) Valve (2.0L A/T)
Turn ignition off. Disconnect EGRM valve vacuum hoses. Connect vacuum tester to No. 1 port of EGRM valve. Block No. 3 port as shown. See Fig 1. Blow air into exhaust port of valve and apply vacuum. Vacuum should hold. Unblock No. 3 port. Vacuum should release. Replace valve if it does not operate as specified.
