Component Disassembly & Reassembly: Governor: Disassembly

  1. Remove governor body-to-oil collector body retaining bolts. When these bolts are removed, governor components are no longer secured in position. Care must be taken not to drop governor body and components when bolts are removed.
  2. Remove the outer weight, spring and primary valve from governor body. See Figure . Remove 2 bolts holding counterweight to collector body and remove counterweight. Remove the seals from oil collector body and discard them. See procedures for related components under CLEANING & INSPECTION  .
