Pump Relief Pressure Test

CAUTION:
DO NOT
close shutoff valve for longer than 5 seconds or damage to pump may result.
Install Power Steering Analyzer (014-00230). See Figure . With engine speed at 600 RPM, close shutoff valve and observe pressure gauge. Flow rate should be zero. Open shutoff valve quickly after reading gauge and note flow rate return to normal. If pressure is not between 1680-1800 psi (110-124 kg/cm2 ), repair or replace relief valve.
