Window Motor & Regulator

  1. Remove door trim panel. See WINDOW REGULATOR & MOTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect motor connector. Disconnect window regulator from motor.
  2. Supply power to motor connector with an ammeter in series. Current drew for no-load test should not exceed 4 amps, and should not fluctuate. Reversal of motor wire connections will reverse direction of motor rotation.
  3. Operate motor and observe current draw. Replace motor if current draw exceeds 4 amps. If window switch does not test correctly, replace window switch.
