Keyboard Function Check No. 4

  1. Connect one lead of Gauge System Tester (Rotunda 021-00055) to Black/Yellow wire at trip computer keyboard connector. Connect other lead to ground. Set ignition switch to RUN position.
  2. Slowly adjust resistance from 0-10,000 ohms and back again. Check whether DTE, EX TEMP, DEST and E/TIME are displayed.
  3. If some or all functions are displayed, replace trip computer keyboard. Go to KEYBOARD FUNCTION CHECK NO. 5 if no functions are displayed.
