Headlamp Aiming

All headlamp adjustments should be made with the fuel tank approximately half full, the vehicle unloaded and the trunk empty, except for the spare tire and jacking equipment. Make sure all tires are inflated to the recommended pressure. Headlamp aim adjustment should be made with Rotunda Headlamp Aiming Kit (107-00001), or equivalent. Install the aimers on the headlamps. Adjust the headlamp aim per the latest instructions contained in the kit.

The equipment in the aiming kit can be calibrated to accommodate a slight slope in the floor, making it useable almost any place in the shop. However, the area used to aim headlamps must be reasonably flat. The headlamp aim adjusting screws are located at the bottom center and the middle left hand side of the driver side headlamp. See Fig 1. On the passenger side, the adjusting screws are located at the bottom center and the center outside of the headlamp. Both adjusting screws are accessible with the headlamps in the extended position.
