Positive Heat Sink Test

  1. Connect diode tester positive lead to positive heat sink. Touch negative lead to each diode terminal in turn. See Fig 1. If any diode exhibits low resistance, replace heat sink.

  2. Transpose test leads so that negative test lead is connected to positive heat sink. Touch negative lead to each diode terminal in turn. If any diode exhibits high resistance, replace heat sink.
