Window Motor: Installation

  1. Install a new motor and drive assembly and engage the motor to the regulator. Tighten motor retaining screws to 50-85 INCH lbs. (5.6-9.6 N.m). See Fig 1 .
  2. Install two pieces of Pressure-Sensitive Waterproof Tape 1 inch (25.4mm) square over drilled holes.
  3. Connect power window motor wiring. Connect battery ground cable. See Fig 1 .
  4. Remove glass prop and check window operation.
  5. Make sure door drain holes are open.
  6. Install trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  .

  1. Position motor and drive to cable drum housing and motor mounting bracket. Install three motor screws. Tighten to 4.0-5.2 ft. lbs. (5.5-7.0 N.m).
  2. Install rivets retaining motor mounting bracket to inner panel (1/4-20 x 1/2-inch bolt and 1/4-20 nut and washer assemblies).
  3. Connect power window motor wiring and battery ground cable.
  4. Check window operation, install the door trim panel and watershield. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  .
