Test C: Either Right Or Left Mirror Does Not Function Or Functions At Variance With System Logic

  1. Remove front door trim panel on vehicle side experiencing malfunction.
  2. Using a Rotunda Model (007-00001) Digital Volt-Ohmmeter or equivalent, verify circuit logic at harness connector to mirror with switch operation. See Figure .
  3. If OK, replace outside rearview mirror. See OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. If not OK, check if OK at switch connector.
  5. If OK at switch, trace along harness to determine where cross circuitry took place and connect. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
