Installation (3.8L Supercharged)

  1. Position sensor assembly on bracket. Install 2 sensor retaining screws, but DO NOT tighten. Install Crankshaft Sensor Gauge (T89P-6316-AH) to outside surface of one vane of shutter.
    NOTE: Gauge is magnetic and will conform to shape of vane.
  2. Push sensor housing inward to contact gauge. Tighten screws to 22-31 INCH lbs. (2.5-3.5 N.m). Ensure sensor is not overtightened. Overtightening can damage crankshaft sensor.
  3. Rotate crankshaft by HAND to position shutter vane with gauge outside of air gap. Remove magnetic gauge. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
