Door Glass

- Remove door trim panel and watershield. See DOOR TRIM PANEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. The interior trim garnish mouldings which surround the roof rail headers at the windshield and rear window are retained by push-in spring clips. Use Moulding Tool (T64P-42006-B and C) or equivalent to remove mouldings with spring clips. If tools are unavailable, a tool can be fabricated and used to remove the mouldings. See Fig 1 .
- Locate tool approximately 76.2-101.6mm (3-4 inches) from either end of moulding being removed. For windshield garnish moulding, it is suggested that removal be started from the passenger's side of the vehicle.
- Place forefinger and thumb on short side of hooked tool. Hook longer side of tool on moulding. Be careful not to damage headliner. See Fig 2 .
- With forefinger and thumb, push and expand short side of hooked tool. Swing short side of tool over toward glass side of moulding and hook it to edge of moulding.
- Break moulding loose at one end so that it drops out approximately 13mm (1/2 inch) or more. Grip the loose end of moulding and pull it down as shown. The remainder of moulding should pop out with ease. Loosen nut and washer assemblies, and retaining glass run and bracket assembly. Raise glass approximately three-quarters up and pull back into B-pillar.
- Tighten lower nut and washer, then upper nut and washer to specification. Cycle system. If OK, install door watershield and trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
