Preliminary Inspection

  1. If none of the power windows operate, problem could be a faulty safety relay. Check for battery voltage at Light Blue/Black wire or at master window control switch connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If voltage is not present, check Circuit Breaker 12 or Fuse 6. If Fuse 6 and Circuit Breaker are both good, replace window safety relay. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  .
  2. If in-line circuit breaker opens when one window is operated, problem could be excessive current draw by window motor. Test window motor. See WINDOW MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  3. If one window motor does not operate, problem could be in master window control switch, window switch or window motor. Test power window switches or power window motor. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  or MOTOR  under COMPONENT TESTS.
