Control Module

The control module is the main switching control for all system operations. See Fig 1 . It also has 4 other functions:
- It contains a thermistor which prevents heated windshield operation if passenger compartment temperature is above 50°F (10°C).
- Contains timers that limit system operation to 4 minutes per cycle.
- Provides a link to the EEC-IV ECA to increase engine idle during heated windshield operation.
- It is linked to the sense resistor that prevents system operation if the windshield is cracked or damaged.
