Checking Fluid Level

- With transmission at normal operating temperature, place vehicle on level ground. Apply parking brake, and run engine at curb idle. Shift selector through all positions, ending in Park.
- With transmission at normal operating temperature, fluid level should be between "ADD" and "DON'T ADD" or "MAX" marks on dipstick. If transmission is at room temperature, fluid level should be between middle and top holes on dipstick.
- If fluid level is correct at room temperature, it will be between "ADD" and "DON'T ADD" or "MAX" marks on dipstick when normal operating temperature is reached. DO NOT overfill. Check condition of fluid for contamination or burned smell. Fully reseat dipstick.
