Load Test

  1. Attach tachometer to engine. Start engine and turn on A/C-heater blower motor to high position. Turn headlights on high beam. Increase engine speed to 2000 RPM.
  2. If voltmeter indicates a minimum increase of .5 volt over battery voltage, alternator operation is normal. If voltage increase is less than .5 volt, proceed to UNDERVOLTAGE TEST.
