Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Check

  1. Remove fuel tank sending unit. To remove sending unit, remove service hole cover. Disconnect main fuel hose. Remove fuel tank sending unit.
  2. Connect ohmmeter to fuel tank sending unit connector "A" and "B" terminals. Compare resistance values. See Fig 1 .

  3. If resistance values are same as listed, check for loose or dirty connections at fuel tank sending unit connector. If resistance values are not same as listed, replace fuel tank sending unit.
