Crankcase Pressure Test
Remove crankcase depression regulator valve and securely plug opening to prevent blow-by. Remove oil filler cap and install Adapter (5631) and install Pressure Test Kit (014-00761) See Figure. Ensure dipstick is seated in dipstick tube. Run engine at 3000 RPM, with no load and transmission in neutral. Record pressure reading. Pressure reading should not exceed 6" of water at 3300 RPM. If crankcase pressure is less than 6" of water at 3300 RPM, replace injection pump and check and adjust timing. If crankcase pressure is greater than 6" of water at 3300 RPM, problem is internal to engine. Repair engine as necessary.
