Test Procedure

Verify pass code in all KEY ON, ENGINE OFF TEST steps before beginning CONTINUOUS MONITOR TEST. This test allows technician and an assistant to simulate intermittent faults not retrieved during KEY ON, ENGINE OFF TEST. Connect analog VOM to PRC test connector, on left side of engine compartment below windshield wiper motor. Turn ignition on to enter continuous monitor mode. Tap, move and wiggle suspect sensor and/or harness, while running all steps of KEY ON, ENGINE OFF TEST. Observe code patterns retrieved and follow appropriate ACTION TO TAKE in right column.
