Canister Purge Control Solenoid Valve

1. With canister purge control solenoid valve removed from the vehicle. Connect test vacuum hoses. See Fig 1 . Blow air through valve from hose "A". Ensure air exits through the vent.
2. Apply 12 volts to one terminal of solenoid valve and ground the other terminal. Blow air through the valve from hose "A". Ensure air exits at port "B". Replace canister purge control solenoid valve if necessary.
