3.8L Engines

  1. With wiring harness connected to stator, measure resistance between distributor base and terminal No. 1 of the TFI ignition module harness connector. See Figure.
  2. If resistance is less than one ohm, inspect for faults in wiring between coil and TFI module terminal No. 2, or any additional wiring or components connected to that circuit. Repair wiring as necessary.
  3. If resistance is more than one ohm, inspect wiring between harness connector at TFI module and harness connector at distributor ground circuit.
