Switch Continuity

  1. Check continuity between switch terminals. See Fig 1 . Either a self-powered test light or an ohmmeter can be used with standard system. An ohmmeter must be used with interval wiper system.
  2. To detect marginal operation of switch, move switch lever while each reading is taken. If switch does not show continuity or shows poor continuity in any switch position, replace switch.

Interval ***** B-I
(1) No continuity between terminals P and L.
(2) No continuity between terminals H and L.
(3) Variable resistance between terminals R1 and R2 must be between 420 ohms (minimum) and 13,000 ohms (maximum).
