Stator Coil Grounded Test

  1. Adjust ohmmeter to the x1000 scale. Place ohmmeter probes on one of stator leads and to stator laminated core. Ohmmeter reading should show no reading.
  2. Stator winding is shorted if reading is obtained. Replace stator coil if shorted. Repeat test procedure for each stator lead.
