Idle Speed Control System - 2.0L: Description

NOTE: For information concerning Idle Speed Control (Air By-Pass Valve), see COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS article.

The Idle Speed Control (ISC-E) is used only on the 2.0L Ranger to control engine idle RPM. Engine RPM is controlled by means of a DC motor throttle actuator. Idle Speed Control is operated by signals delivered by the Idle Speed Module.
