Ignition Coil Primary Resistance Check

Disconnect ignition coil connector. Connect ohmmeter leads to "BATT" and "TACH" terminals of ignition coil. If resistance is 0.8-1.6 ohms, coil is okay. Proceed to PRIMARY CIRCUIT CONTINUITY CHECK . If resistance is less than 0.8 or greater than 1.6 ohms, replace ignition coil.
