Continuous Monitor Self-Test (Wiggle Test): Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 11 other vehicles, including the 1988 Ford Ranger, 1988 Ford RV Cutaway, 1988 Ford Pickup, 1988 Ford F-Super Duty, and 1988 Ford Econoline. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The CONTINUOUS MONITOR SELF-TEST allows a technician to attempt to recreate an intermittent fault while monitoring the system. The CONTINUOUS MONITOR SELF-TEST may be used in both KOEO and KOER modes.

The test is divided into 4 areas: Establishing Continuous Memory Codes, Clearing Continuous Memory Codes, Continuous Memory Codes To Be Tested, and Continuous Monitor (Wiggle) Test. Perform steps in sequence.
