Test S - Neutral Drive Switch (Code 67)
- Ensure A/C was off during Quick Test. If A/C was on, turn to off and repeat Quick Test. If A/C was off, continue with test.
- Check type of transmission. If transmission is automatic, go to next step. If transmission is manual, proceed to step 5).
- Check shift selector position. If selector is not in Park or Neutral, engage selector in Park position. Repeat Quick Test. If selector is in Park or Neutral position, continue with test.
- Check if engine will crank. If engine will not crank, proceed to No Start Test. If engine will crank, continue with test.
- Disconnect processor 60 pin connector and inspect connectors. Connect breakout box with processor and harness connected. Connect jumper breakout box pin 30 to breakout box pin 46. Perform Key On - Engine Off Test. Record service codes. If code 67 is present, remove jumper and continue with test. If code 67 is not present, repair open circuit. Repeat Quick Test.
- Turn ignition on. Connect DVOM positive test lead to breakout box pin 10 and negative test lead to pin 46. Check DVOM reading. If voltage is greater than 1 volt, verify A/C is off. Isolate short to power circuit or short to reference voltage circuit and repair. Repeat Quick Test. If voltage is 1 volt or less, replace processor and repeat Quick Test.
