Window Switch

  1. Remove switch from vehicle. Use a self-powered test light or ohmmeter. With the switch in the neutral position, there should be continuity between terminals 1 and 3, 2 and 5, and 4 and 6. See Fig 1 .
  2. With the toggle switch down, there should be continuity between terminals 2, 4, and 5, and 1 and 3. Terminal 6 should be disconnected from any other terminal.
  3. With the toggle switch pushed upward, there should be continuity between terminals 2, 3 and 5, and 4 and 6. Terminal 1 should be disconnected from any other terminal. If the switch does not test as listed, replace switch.
