Spark Plug Wire Resistance

Check spark plug wire resistance using an ohmmeter. Connect ohmmeter leads to each end of spark plug wire with wires still connected to distributor cap. Make test through internal distributor cap terminal. Resistance for NEW wires should be 7, 000 ohms per foot, for OLD wires 5, 000 ohms per inch. Readings should not be exceeded.
