Ignition Timing
- ENGINES WITHOUT THERMACTOR NOTE: Set timing at idle speed with distributor vacuum line disconnected. Degrees given are BTDC. Maximum retard is 2° BTDC. Maximum allowable setting is 5° BTDC more than recommended setting.
- ENGINES WITH THERMACTOR NOTE:
Set timing at idle speed with distributor vacuum line disconnected. Degrees given are BTDC.CAUTION: DO NOT advance beyond recommended settings.
If timing advanced beyond recommended setting, undetectable detonation may occur at high engine speed, and damage engine.
