Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

4. Remove the bolt (1a) and the heat shield (1b).

5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.

6. Remove the CMP sensor (1) complete with O-ring.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the CMP sensor with a NEW  O-ring and connect the wiring harness connector.
2. Install the heat shield and securely tighten the bolt.
3. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
