Isolator, Front CROSSMEMBER, Frame: Removal

- Remove the engine cradle crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL .
- As an installation reference, carefully mark location of isolator requiring removal on crossmember (around isolator can flange) using a marker or crayon. Do not use a scratch awl to mark location. NOTE:
Prior to using special tools, lubricate OTC® three jaw puller 1026 or equivalent (B) threads to provide ease of use and promote tool longevity.
- Assemble tools over isolator crossmember assembly as shown:
- Crossmember
- OTC® three jaw puller 1026
- (special tool #9334-4, Remover, Bushing)
- (special tool #9678, Press Plug)
- Tighten OTC® three jaw puller 1026 or equivalent (A) screw-drive, pressing isolator out of the crossmember (A).
