Theory Of Operation

The Steering Control Module (SCM) communicates with other controllers over the Controller Area Network (CAN) C bus. The Drivetrain Control Module (DTCM) continuously monitors the bus activity and receives the messages it needs. If the DTCM does not receive messages from the SCM this fault will set.
