Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Clean the mating surfaces on the engine block and thermostat.

  2. Install a NEW  seal (1) onto the thermostat.
  3. Connect and lock the engine coolant temperature (ECT) wire harness connector.
  4. Engage the wire harness in the clip on the thermostat.

  5. Install the thermostat and using the sequence in illustration tighten the four bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Connect and lock the engine water heating coil wire harness connector.
  7. Install the heater core hose and tighten the band clamp.
  8. Install the radiator hose and tighten the band clamp.
  9. Install the degassing hose and tighten the band clamp.
  10. Install the battery tray and battery. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
  11. Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, INSTALLATION .
  12. Fill the cooling system. Refer to FILLING  .
  13. Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
