The Door Remote Unlock Does Not Operate RF Functions

STEP OPERATION TO BE CARRIED OUT OK (NO FAULTS DETECTED) FAULT DETECTED OPERATION
1 DOOR LOCKING/UNLOCKING FROM KEY CONTROL OPERATION CHECK 
  • Check that the door locking/ unlocking RF transmission is working correctly
 End of diagnosis The key does not operate the door locking/unlocking locks Go to Step 2 
2 KEY CONDITION CHECK 
  • Check the condition of the button and the key casing
 Go to Step 3  Button and casing damaged/ tampered with Replace the key
3 KEY RECOGNITION CHECK 
  • Check the power transmitted with the test receiver, code no. 2000040922 
 End of diagnosis The key does not transmit any signal Go to Step 4 
4 BATTERY POLARITY CHECK WHEN INSERTED IN THE KEY 
  • Check that the battery is inserted in the key, respecting the correct polarity
 Go to Step 5  Battery inserted incorrectly (reversed polarity) Reposition the battery according to the correct polarity
5 BATTERY CHARGE CHECK 
  • Connect a multimeter to the battery poles checking that the voltage is higher than 2.2 V.
 Go to Step 6  Voltage lower than 2.2 V detected Insert a new battery
6 KEY/BATTERY ELECTRICAL CONTACT CHECK 
  • Remove the battery and check the condition of the contact sheet.
  • If there are no faults in the contacts, the problem is inside the key; therefore it is necessary to replace the key.
 End of diagnosis Sheets distorted/damaged Replace the key
